Role Overview
We are seeking an NEC Site Supervisor to join our Local Government team in Cardiff, supporting the delivery of a wide range of highways and infrastructure projects across the region.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and comply with CDM regulations, highway standards, and site specific risk assessments.
- Monitor site conditions and update risk assessments as conditions change; work alongside NEC Project Manager to notify defects, raise early warnings and compensation events.
- Inspect completed works and verify compliance with design standards; raise and resolve quality issues and non conformances.
- Attend site meetings and communicate progress, risks, and issues; maintain site diaries, progress reports, inspections, delivery records, and photographs.
- Use Construction Management Systems to produce comprehensive NEC Supervisor Report for the NEC Management Team and Client.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of highways construction methodology through site operative experience or design background.
- Familiarity with the NEC Construction Contracts.
- High standards of health and safety for yourself and others; sound understanding of relevant H&S legislation that can be communicated to others.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and methodically to verify that construction work is delivered as designed and meets the specification.
- Confident communication with ability to convey your point of view to varied audiences and keep stakeholders and colleagues informed.
