Key Responsibilities and Duties The RoleReporting to the Head of Commercial, you'll be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities across a range of high-value engineering sectors.
Working closely with our engineering, estimating and operations teams, you'll take ownership of the entire sales process-from initial customer engagement through to contract award and project handover.
You'll become a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their technical requirements and developing commercial solutions that create long-term partnerships.

Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new business opportunities across automotive, motorsport, aerospace, defence and specialist engineering sectors.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers and projects.
Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company growth plans.
Generate new enquiries through networking, customer visits, exhibitions and market research.
Manage customer relationships from first contact through to successful contract award.
Work collaboratively with Engineering, Estimating and Operations to produce competitive commercial proposals.
Support RFQs, tenders and quotations, ensuring technical and commercial compliance.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies to identify future opportunities.
Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales forecasts.
Represent KS Composites professionally at customer meetings, industry events and exhibitions throughout the UK.
Key Skills and CompetenciesAbout You
We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, technically minded and passionate about developing new business.
You'll have previous experience selling within an engineering or manufacturing environment and be confident communicating with customers at every level, from procurement teams through to senior management.
You'll naturally build relationships, understand customer challenges and have the ability to turn opportunities into long term partnerships.
Previous Business Development or Technical Sales experience within composites, automotive, motorsport, aerospace or advanced manufacturing.
Proven track record of winning new business and delivering against sales targets.
Strong understanding of composite manufacturing processes such as pre preg, RTM or autoclave manufacturing.
Experience managing technical sales cycles and working alongside engineering teams.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify profitable opportunities.
Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK.
Existing network within the composites, automotive or motorsport sectors.
Experience within low volume, high value manufacturing.
Understanding of programme lifecycle management.
Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001 or AS9100.
