Job Description

We offer a competitive salary ranging from £42,396.00 to £52,995.00, an annual incentive related bonus of up to £1,000, and an attractive pension scheme with up to 12% company contribution. Location

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Process & Data Analyst to join the Asset Management - Wastewater team and help Yorkshire Water provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Our newly established Asset Management - Wastewater team is key to meeting changing expectations of customers and regulators.

As part of this team, the Business Process & Data Analyst will drive the performance, reliability, and optimisation of Yorkshire Water's wastewater pumping infrastructure. Using detailed analysis of telemetry, operational and asset data-particularly rising mains across the wastewater network-you will uncover trends, identify inefficiencies, and highlight improvement opportunities. Your insights will support informed decision making and deliver tangible outcomes contributing to strategic priorities of reducing pollution risk, strengthening asset resilience, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Serve as the single point of contact for the department to obtain meaningful data in a consistent format that identifies performance across the wastewater pumping asset base.
  • Analyze areas where performance is a concern within catchments, identify actions to be taken and underlying root causes.
  • Provide consistent interpretation of data and present it in a way that is easily understood by the business.
  • Transform data into information offering proactive ways to improve pumping systems.
  • Oversee and conduct the conversion of data into insights that will lead to informed business decisions.
  • Benchmark process capability and potential performance with respect to the customer.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance policies, procedures and business processes used within the wastewater pumping asset base.
  • Identify new and innovative ways of working that improve performance of asset management processes and systems.
  • Provide process and data advice and support to the Asset Management team as necessary.
  • Develop tools and dashboards for performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with other Yorkshire Water departments to ensure all performance inefficiencies are addressed timely.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Understanding of how your role fits within a business plan and ability to deliver the required outputs.
  • Capability of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
  • Experience supporting and embedding change, influencing and driving the right culture and behaviours.
  • Strong demonstration of Yorkshire Water company values and behaviours.
  • Experience of SAP job management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Experience analysing large volumes of data and interpreting trends and themes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • A people person who engages effectively at all levels.
Additional Benefits

  • Previous experience in a commercially oriented and/or regulated environment.
  • Previous experience within the water or wastewater sectors, or in broader utilities, process or manufacturing industries with understanding of wastewater infrastructure and telemetry systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure to challenging deadlines with a background in engineering, environmental science or data analytics.
