Venue & Studio Deployments System Engineer, Event Productions

This role is responsible for designing, deploying, and delivering live event and broadcast studio production sites globally. As a successful candidate, you will deploy production systems that enable high quality, efficient operation and meet high customer demand. You will have a strong background in audio, video, and lighting system design deployment, as well as excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. The ability to maintain focus across multiple projects while continuously improving the product is essential. In this role, you will lead the deployment and commissioning of archetypical technical schematics for live event systems, appropriately scaling these designs in partnership with cross functional teams. You must also be able to receive commissioned systems for upcoming deployments, managing integration partners, and collaborating seamlessly with architectural and trades teams. Reading and annotating architectural and construction drawings, right sizing, and maintaining the venue and/or studio vision through deployment are important. A successful candidate will critically analyze and optimize hardware placement to maximize acoustic and visual performance while maintaining collision avoidance with additional trades. Key job responsibilities
  • Lead the deployment of developed system designs for live event and studio production spaces utilizing both hardware and software components.
  • Professionally communicate with internal and external partner teams.
  • Engage with live event and studio operations teams to identify operational efficiencies.
  • Turn up sites by commissioning the deployment of live and studio production system designs.
  • Lead commissioning through User Acceptance Testing.
  • Collaborate to develop right size system designs per deployment.
  • Seamlessly work with architectural and trades teams toward delivery.
  • Track, maintain, and communicate against delivery timelines.
  • Maintain the current product system documentation package and update as needed.
  • Create product standards documentation packages, including bill of materials, integration SOPs, functional (schematic) drawing sets, configuration and code files.
  • Conduct research activities, develop test plans and evaluate emerging technologies in the broadcast space.
  • Create and publish product standards documentation for any new products that are developed.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree, or experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience designing, transporting, setting up, and operating production equipment, including audio and lighting equipment, for field and studio productions.
  • Experience with hardware/software integration and real time systems.
  • Experience with distributed systems at scale.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience designing digital communication systems.
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting network, or experience with automation and any version control tools and experience in Linux and networking protocols.
  • 3+ Years' Experience of Programming code development for broadcast hardware.
  • CTS or CTS D certification.
  • AWS cloud architecture certification or relevant experience for asset management and monitoring.
  • Programming certification or relevant experience Javascript programming language.
  • Experience in designing production or broadcast venue systems.
