Job Overview
As a Service Desk Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering first and second-line technical support to a diverse range of business customers from our Redditch office.
Working as part of the service desk, you will diagnose and resolve technical issues, manage service requests and provide excellent customer service while ensuring incidents are handled efficiently and professionally.
This role is ideal for someone with previous IT support experience who is looking to develop their technical skills within a fast-paced Managed Service Provider. Every day presents new challenges, technologies and opportunities to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second line technical support via our PSA, telephone and face-to-face
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and Microsoft 365 issues
- Log, manage and update incidents and service requests through our Service Desk system
- Escalate complex incidents to senior engineers where appropriate via our escalation process
- Maintain accurate technical documentation
- Build strong working relationships with users while delivering outstanding customer service
Essential Skills, Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience within an IT Service Desk or MSP environment
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience (essential)
- Experience supporting Windows-based machines
- Good understanding of Active Directory
- Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
Desirable Skills
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
- WatchGuard products
- Remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms
- Cyber Security best practices
- Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
