Business Development Manager (Cold Caller)

Salary: £35k - £45k (OTE £70 - £90K)
Location: Field-based role
Working pattern: Full-time

About the Role

We're seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and prospecting. You'll identify, engage, and onboard merchants for payment processing solutions, consistently achieving sales targets. This is a self-generated sales role where you'll build and manage your own pipeline of opportunities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Generating and qualifying new leads through cold calling and outbound prospecting
• Building and managing a pipeline of self-generated merchant opportunities
• Presenting and selling merchant services and payment solutions to businesses
• Conducting needs assessments and recommending suitable products
• Negotiating terms and closing new business agreements
• Maintaining accurate records of activities and opportunities in the CRM system
• Meeting or exceeding monthly sales and performance targets

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience in merchant services, payment solutions, or B2B sales (minimum 1 year face-to-face)
• Strong cold calling, prospecting, and closing skills
• Self-motivated with a track record of achieving targets
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools

What's On Offer

• Base salary: £25,000 £30,000 depending on experience
• £5,000 annual car allowance
• Results-driven incentive structure

Additional Information

Minimum 1 year of face-to-face sales experience required.
