Systems Engineer - Radar

This role is part of our Sensor Systems Business Unit. Saab is expanding in the UK and we are now seeking a talented and highly motivated Systems Engineer to support our radar and sensors growth activities at our Fareham campus. Much of our current work is centred on the G1X radar, which is the newest radar in Saab's portfolio - a software defined radar with a regular capability update cycle post delivery, as well as an established production line. As a Systems Engineer you will regularly work with current products, developing enhancements and investigating new areas for product growth.

• Support bid activities
• Requirements management activities
• Radar performance analysis
• Radar algorithm development
• System and sub system design
• Support to customer demonstrations
• Travel within UK and abroad (including to Gothenburg office)

• Positive, social, results oriented, team player with proven background in systems engineering
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience of radar, communications or EW systems is essential
• Experience with MATLAB, ideally working with recorded radar data
• Experience with a recognised industry standard requirements management tool
• Familiar with principles of 15288:2023
• Familiar with product road mapping and product lifecycle techniques
• Enjoy working and developing in a team; cooperative with others while capable of working individually
• Good technical communication skills
• Must handle classified tasks; requires UK or Swedish citizenship with National Security Vetting clearance to SC level or ability to gain it

During your employment you will handle tasks and materials that are classified as military secret. Therefore you must have UK or Swedish citizenship. A National Security Vetting clearance to SC level or the ability to gain it is required.
