Software Engineer (Kotlin / React) Location: London

On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Software Engineer (Kotlin / React) for a 6 Month contract based in London (Hybrid 3 times per week in the office).

Key Responsibilities

Purpose of the role:

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a high performing engineering team building the next generation of a business critical platform that supports Sales teams with richer client insights and a more integrated client management experience.

What you'll do:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, and well tested applications.
  • Build and enhance full stack solutions using modern front end and JVM based technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver value through iterative releases.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and production support activities.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and performance of live services.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications

The skills you'll need:

  • Strong commercial experience in full stack or back end software engineering.
  • Experience working with JVM based technologies, ideally Kotlin (or strong Java with Kotlin).
  • Hands on experience with TypeScript and React would be beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including OOP, functional programming concepts, and design patterns.
  • Proven experience working within Extreme Programming (XP) environments, including TDD, Pair Programming, Continuous Refactoring, and Trunk Based Development.
  • Proven experience building scalable, maintainable software systems and working with CI/CD pipelines in Agile environments.
