Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Lead full lifecycle development of as-a-Service energy projects, from site identification through notice-to-proceed (NTP) and commercial operation.
  • Secure and assess project sites, ensuring alignment with technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements; manage permitting and local approvals.
  • Oversee interconnection processes with utilities and authorities; coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracting.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk matrices; implement mitigation strategies to ensure delivery against milestones.
  • Act as primary customer contact during development, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and satisfaction.
  • Manage suppliers and service providers to meet project requirements and ABB's standards for integrity, HSE, and commercial terms.
  • Support execution phase through to handover, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Maintain project documentation, financial tracking, and reporting for internal stakeholders and customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 8 years in energy project development and/or project management
  • Hands on experience in technologies such as energy storage, microgrids, and electrification infrastructure
  • Demonstrated success across all phases of project development
  • Strong project management capabilities, including risk identification and mitigation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across project sites, customer offices, and vendor/contractor locations within the EU
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are considered an asset.
