Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle development of as-a-Service energy projects, from site identification through notice-to-proceed (NTP) and commercial operation.
- Secure and assess project sites, ensuring alignment with technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements; manage permitting and local approvals.
- Oversee interconnection processes with utilities and authorities; coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracting.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk matrices; implement mitigation strategies to ensure delivery against milestones.
- Act as primary customer contact during development, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and satisfaction.
- Manage suppliers and service providers to meet project requirements and ABB's standards for integrity, HSE, and commercial terms.
- Support execution phase through to handover, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Maintain project documentation, financial tracking, and reporting for internal stakeholders and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum of 8 years in energy project development and/or project management
- Hands on experience in technologies such as energy storage, microgrids, and electrification infrastructure
- Demonstrated success across all phases of project development
- Strong project management capabilities, including risk identification and mitigation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across project sites, customer offices, and vendor/contractor locations within the EU
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are considered an asset.
