About the Role
The UX Design Operations team seeks a Senior Design Program Manager to bring together people, process, and UX design. In this role you'll partner with designers, engineers, product managers, business stakeholders, and cross functional teams to bring design initiatives to life from early planning through launch. You'll play a key role in driving execution within the PlayStation Partners team, supporting planning, prioritization, and coordination of design work and proactively managing timelines, risks, and cross team collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Subject Matter Expertise in Design - Drive the process across key programs, collaborate with designers, writers, engineers, and researchers, integrate multiple workstreams, champion accessibility, and ensure design excellence through engineering handoffs and quality engineering.
- Trusted Partner - Serve as a trusted advisor and Design Operations point of contact for teams; partner with design leadership and cross functional stakeholders to establish and maintain roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
- Drive Collaboration - Collaborate across design leaders, product managers, researchers, engineers, and other program managers, inspiring and motivating others to deliver high quality work.
- Champion Design Excellence - Advocate for user centered design, lead workshops, refine operational processes, strengthen feedback loops, and drive consistency across design teams.
- Driver of Delivery - Own strategic artifacts, anticipate bottlenecks, manage issues, drive prioritization and planning, support resource management, and track programs to help teams deliver design excellence.
About You
- Strong at the intersection of design and execution, with a passion for creating systems that improve team collaboration.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, running multiple workstreams, and adapting priorities while maintaining momentum.
- Excellent communicator who builds trust, follows through, and approaches challenges with an open perspective.
- Deep understanding of designers' needs and the strategic role of Design Operations beyond tools and tracking.
- Proven ability to build processes, B2B strategies, and develop solutions that address root problems.
- Growth mindset, actively seeks feedback, and delivers constructive feedback to others.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of design program management experience in technology, design, or creative environments, with a track record in Enterprise / B2B software products.
- Strong communication skills, able to articulate design and technical requirements and develop strategic communications for partner groups.
- Experience delivering large scale design programs and projects, working with product, engineering, and technical program managers.
- Experience in continuous delivery environments, fast pace, and shifting priorities.
- Passion for user experience and design with an understanding of the product development process.
- Ability to raise issues, anticipate trade offs, and balance business needs with constraints to improve business benefit while building exceptional user experiences.
- Experience working across multifaceted problem spaces and asking the right questions to arrive at better solutions with broader business priorities in mind.
- Strong partnership, curiosity, humility, positivity, and conflict resolution skills with a diverse range of partners.
- Demonstrated growth mindset through active feedback seeking and delivery.
