Position Overview
Lead Data Engineer at a well funded AI start up, building the data platform from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable batch and real time data pipelines.
- Own the architecture for modern data platforms supporting AI workloads.
- Develop robust data models, storage solutions, and processing frameworks.
- Partner closely with AI, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver high impact solutions.
- Define engineering standards and help build the future data engineering function.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial experience in Data Engineering with expert Python skills.
- Proven experience building scalable data platforms and distributed systems.
- Hands on experience with technologies such as Spark, Airflow, Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data infrastructure.
- Exposure to vector databases, machine learning platforms, or AI powered products is highly desirable.
- Startup mindset with a passion for ownership, autonomy, and solving complex technical challenges.
