Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in enterprise integration, API architecture, governance and MuleSoft to support a major transformation programme within a leading automotive organisation.

This role will be responsible for defining integration strategies, governing architectural standards and delivering scalable API led solutions across a complex enterprise landscape. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, technical delivery teams and enterprise architecture functions.

• Define and maintain enterprise integration and API architecture standards.
• Lead solution architecture activities across multiple programmes and projects.
• Design scalable, secure and reusable integration solutions.
• Establish and govern API first principles and best practice.
• Produce high level and low level solution designs.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners and Delivery Teams.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead architecture governance forums and design authority reviews.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps.
• Support vendor and third party integration initiatives.
• Drive adoption of reusable integration patterns and frameworks.
• Manage architectural risks, dependencies and technical debt.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification
• Azure DevOps / Security certifications (advantageous)

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in enterprise environments.
• Strong MuleSoft architecture and design experience.
• Extensive API Architecture experience.
• Enterprise Integration Architecture expertise.
• Experience establishing integration governance frameworks.
• API led architecture and microservices design.
• RESTful APIs, event driven architecture and messaging technologies.
• Architecture review boards and design authority governance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience producing architecture artefacts and roadmaps.
