Overview

Responsibilities
- Supporting the System Engineering Manager with system engineering on allocated projects.
- Developing system deliverables including BoD, PFD, P&ID, philosophies, and other design documentation.
- Preparing material for the system design review process.
- Ensuring activities spanning multiple components and products are managed for maximum performance and operability through effective system integration.
- Supporting management of system requirements, specifications, and flow down to sub-systems, products, and components.
- Supporting validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system-level testing.
- Supporting technical interface management and identifying opportunities for variation orders from technical aspects, driving approvals with PEM.
- Supporting CTQ/Risk trades across teams during the design of products.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of complex and highly technical concepts within own sphere of expertise and communicating across the organization.
- Presenting to senior leaders and cross-functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to the overall solution.
- Travel as required to supervise testing activities.
- Managing specific scopes (including issue resolution) as allocated by the System Engineering Manager and deputising as required.
- Applying technical leadership during commercial pursuits to ensure competitive subsea systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with experience in Engineering/Technology).
- Strong experience in Customer Project Engineering.
- Ability to motivate others and achieve results; demonstrated commitment to process improvement.
- Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and leadership skills; executive-level presentation skills.
- Ability to influence others and lead teams; ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
- Previous experience in project/product on-site fabrication/testing is beneficial.
- Proven track record of achievement in previous roles.
- Knowledge of relevant Industry Specifications, Standards and Regulations; industry-related experience in relevant products.
- Functional and operational knowledge of relevant internal processes, procedures, and tools.
