WF Tech is recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller Setter / Programmer on behalf of a well established, family run precision engineering company based in Melton Mowbray. The company specialises in the manufacture of high quality precision components and operates a modern machining facility, including Doosan, HAAS and DMG CNC milling machines.
The Role
As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting, operating and programming CNC milling machines, producing high precision components from a range of materials.
- Setting and operating Doosan, HAAS and DMG CNC milling machines
- Programming and editing CNC programmes at the machine
- Working from engineering drawings and 3D models
- Using FeatureCAM CAD/CAM software to support programming and machining processes
- Selecting tooling, setting work offsets and proving out new jobs
- Producing low volume, high quality precision components
- Carrying out in process inspection and maintaining tight tolerances
- Supporting continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment
The Candidate
The ideal CNC Miller will have:
- Strong experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Experience with Doosan, HAAS or DMG machining centres would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of Fanuc or similar CNC controls
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Experience working within a precision engineering or subcontract manufacturing environment
- Understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds and machining strategies
- Experience using CAD/CAM systems - FeatureCAM experience would be a major advantage
Working Hours & Overtime
Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 6:00am - 11:00am
- Saturday: 6:00am - 11:00am
