About the Role

Senior Software Engineer at Made Tech focuses on delivering custom software for the public sector, working across central and local government as well as health. The role involves outcome based delivery, coaching teams, and ensuring technology solutions meet customer goals.

Responsibilities

• Write and deliver code with tests in a variety of programming languages (Java, Ruby, Python, ES6/React, C#/.NET Core).
• Work on problems ranging from monoliths to microservices, contributing to and learning from diverse architectures.
• Co coach and mentor teammates, sharing knowledge and supporting their growth.
• Implement and maintain CD pipelines, automate testing, and release frequently.
• Document architecture and infrastructure as code using Terraform, OpenAPI, and IaC practices.
• Use cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and leverage containerisation and serverless solutions.
• Foster a DevOps culture by empowering teams to build, run, and manage their own services.
