# Server Engineer (Backend)-MDM ExperienceInternalENGINEERINGRemote / Hybrid / CityHybridFull-timeMid Level About the RoleAbout ColateColate is building a next-generation Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform that helps organizations securely manage, monitor, and protect fleets of mobile devices at scale. We combine enterprise-grade security with modern cloud-native architecture.Role OverviewWe are looking for a passionate and experienced Server Engineer to design, build, and scale the core backend infrastructure of our MDM platform. You will own the server-side logic that powers device enrollment, policy enforcement, real-time monitoring, and secure data exchange across thousands of devices. ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Design and develop highly scalable, secure RESTful & gRPC APIs for MDM functionalities. Build and maintain real-time communication systems (WebSocket, MQTT, or similar) for device telemetry and command execution. Implement robust authentication, authorization, and end-to-end encryption mechanisms. Design database schemas and optimize queries for high-volume device data (PostgreSQL / MongoDB / Cassandra). Integrate with Apple DEP, Android Zero-Touch, and third-party identity providers. Ensure high availability, observability, and auto-scaling of backend services. Write clean, testable, and well-documented code. Requirements 4+ years of strong backend development experience. Proficiency in Go / Node.js / Java / Python (Go preferred). Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure). Strong knowledge of microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. Solid understanding of security best practices, data encryption, and compliance (GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001). Experience with MDM, EMM, or enterprise mobility solutions is a strong plus. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
