MET Technician

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a busy, well established bodyshop in Castelford, West Yorkshire, for a MET Technician to join their team.

• Competitive flat rate salary up to c. £43,680 (dependent on experience)
• OTE up to £50,000
• Monday to Friday hours only; no weekends

• Carry out mechanical and bodywork on allocated jobs as required
• Dismantling, fault finding and diagnostic work
• Re assembly using new parts as required
• Complete inspections and testing to ensure compliance and quality standards
• Identify faults and recommend additional work where safety or roadworthiness is affected
• Carry out road testing of vehicles when required, in a safe and legal manner, as instructed
• Maintain clear communication on job progress and any findings requiring authorisation

• Proven experience as a MET Fitter / MET Technician within a bodyshop environment
• Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
• Ability to fault find and complete inspections and testing to a high standard
• Good communication skills and confidence working across multiple tasks
• ATA advantageous, but not essential
• Commitment to safe working practices and legal road testing procedures
