As a Security and Compliance Solutions Architect at AWS you'll build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and act as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey. You'll manage the overall technical security relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, compliance, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging projects. Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS security services and features. In this role, your creativity will build effective design patterns addressing customer challenges and you will have the opportunity to define or invent cloud native reference architectures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customers' trusted advisor: collaborate with AWS account, training and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as Amazon Identity and Access Management (IAM), VPCs, Key Management System, CloudHSM, AWS Organizations, Artifact, and Web Application Firewall.
  • Business partner: serve as a key member of the business development and account management team to ensure customer success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
  • Public engagement: provide thought leadership on analytics solutions that benefit customers through the use of AWS Services. This includes contributions to external publications such as AWS Blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public presentations at AWS Summits, re:Invent, User Groups or industry events.
  • Community player: capture and share best practices, participate, and contribute as a member of the worldwide AWS technical community of Solution Architects, Professional Services Consultants, Technical Account Managers, and AWS Trainers.
  • Service team point of contact: act as a conduit between the AWS Service teams and the customers, providing detailed guidance for the broader field organization and advocating for the customers towards central teams.
A Day in the Life
  • Engage with customers to answer security and compliance questions, unblock the adoption of AWS Security Services, foster new usage, encourage use of AWS security services, and help use AWS partner security solutions.
  • Thought leadership: speak at customer events such as re:Invent or other security gatherings, create reusable content, and write blogs.
  • Lead or support initiatives such as the adoption of AI in a secure manner for customers or other security hardening initiatives, reviews, and more.
  • Enable other solutions architects.
Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.

  • Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience working with end user or developer communities.
