Fantastic and immediate opportunity for an experienced and technically sound Production SQL Server DBA with solid technical SSRS/SSIS/SSAS experience to take a step up the career ladder and join an extremely successful global business, based in the East Midlands. Due to continued success and a sustained period of growth, our client is looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA / SQL Server Database Administrator to work as part of a team and deliver exceptional web based applications.

• Database and query performance tuning and optimisation
• Writing trans act SQL stored procedures
• Day to day support and administration of all areas of SQL and data warehousing environments
• Data cleansing and data correction work, performance tuning, capacity planning
• Archiving, backup and restore best practices including security
• Assisting the wider IT/IS division with complex database queries
• Contributing to product improvements, ease of use, reliability and reducing support levels

Technical skills required include SQL Server 2012 - 2016, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), Powershell and MongoDB would be preferred but training will be provided. Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with the wider business are essential. A focus on delivery, attention to detail, and ability to be part of an on call team are required.

Based in a great location, easily commutable from Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and Sheffield. Accessible by public transport. The client can offer a base salary of £45,000-£55,000 with an excellent benefits package including pension and flexi start/finish.
