Flutter consists of two commercial divisions (FanDuel and International) and our central Flutter Functions, which include COO, Finance and Legal. In Flutter Functions we work across all divisions and regions to deliver the Flutter Edge - the combination of Product, Tech, Expertise and Scale that powers our brands and divisions. Within the Flutter COO, we partner with experts across Flutter to build, deploy and communicate the Flutter Edge, covering Product & Payments, Technology, Sportsbook Product & Trading, People, Property, Corporate Communications and Strategic Partnerships & Transformation.

Role Purpose

The Business Change Lead is responsible for leading change delivery across various programmes. The role ensures impacted people are prepared, supported and equipped to adopt new tools, processes and ways of working. You partner closely with programme and delivery teams as well as functional teams to translate change impacts into practical plans across communications, engagement, training and readiness, drive adoption outcomes and embed change into day to day operations.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Change Leadership & Delivery
    • Define and be responsible for the end to end change approach for assigned programmes in alignment with programme goals and value realization.
    • Lead how AI will transform change management at Flutter and how AI will impact end users through their change journey.
    • Conduct structured partner analysis and develop user personas to understand who is impacted, their needs, motivations and difficulties, using these insights to shape the change approach across all workstreams.
    • Lead change impact assessments to understand people, role, behaviour and mentality impacts across impacted teams and adjacent functions.
    • Proactively identify adoption and resistance risks and put effective mitigation strategies in place; raise issues early with recommended actions.
    • Design and deliver targeted change interventions, including communications, engagement, training and reinforcement activities tailored to technical and non technical audiences.
    • Partner with leaders to coach and support them in their role as change sponsors.
    • Define and oversee measures of change success, including adoption metrics, behavioural outcomes, engagement indicators and business impact tracking.
  • Planning & Coordination
    • Align change activity to the delivery roadmaps and key achievements, bringing structure and discipline to change delivery within Agile environments.
    • Support dependency mapping and sequencing of change activity across teams to avoid overload and conflict.
    • Maintain visibility of intersecting initiatives and changes impacting the same communities; work closely with delivery and planning colleagues to ensure change activities are realistic, prioritised and achievable.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
    • Conduct structured partner identification and profiling, distinguishing between end users, leaders, champions and resistant groups.
    • Develop clear, consistent communications aligned to project landmarks and audience segments.
    • Create messaging that explains the "why", "what" and "what it means for me" for engineers, product teams, leaders and support functions.
    • Establish and run change champion networks and feedback loops to support two way engagement and local adoption.
    • Equip leaders and managers with talk tracks, materials and coaching to support their teams through change.
  • Training, Adoption & Enablement
    • Partner with subject matter experts and training teams to define training needs and develop learning approaches.
    • Design interventions with AI embedded into delivery and adoption.
    • Design role based learning pathways that translate technical AI capabilities into accessible, practical guidance for different audiences.
    • Ensure people have the knowledge and support to adopt change, including performance support, on the job resources and post go live reinforcement.
    • Build and support communities of practice (e.g. change champions, user groups) to sustain adoption momentum.
  • Readiness & Sustainment
    • Assess organisational and team readiness prior to major rollouts; anticipate resistance and implement targeted interventions.
    • Plan for change embedding through handover activities, collaborator ownership assignment and alignment with operational processes (e.g. onboarding, BAU documentation, performance measures).
    • Establish reinforcement activities to sustain behaviour change and prevent regression post launch.
