Software Engineer (Full time, Permanent) - Locations: Gloucester, South Gloucestershire or Manchester

Position Overview

As a Software Engineer you will be part of an experienced development function, working cross functionally to design, build, deploy and maintain critical software across a range of business areas. The role focuses on DevSecOps, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, cyber and geospatial intelligence capabilities for defence, intelligence and cyber sectors.

  • Testing & Quality - Unit testing, automation, frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, Cypress
  • Experience in an Agile delivery team using GitLab, branching strategies, pull requests and merge processes.
Role Type
  • Onsite - primary onsite work; includes production and maintenance employees.
  • Hybrid - a mix of onsite and offsite work; ratio determined in partnership with your leader.
  • Remote - primarily offsite work; onsite presence may be required if you live within reasonable commuting distance.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • University Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
  • Theoretical to advanced knowledge in the relevant field.
  • Willingness to obtain eDV clearance.
  • Preferred location: Gloucester or Manchester; commuting responsibility for onsite/hybrid roles.
