Overview
Role: SAP/BW Data Warehouse Analyst. Location: Harlow, Essex. Role Type: Hybrid (Remote/Hybrid working with occasional travel to main UK sites, Glenrothes and Harlow).
Raytheon UK has an opportunity for an experienced IT professional to support ERP BW development. The function sits within the Digital Technology team and is responsible for the delivery and support of application solutions to all UK based divisions to enable operational business delivery. This role involves supporting and maintaining the full application life cycle, handling day-to-day operations, and implementing new business requirements / configuration changes and new stand-ups, while integrating data between applications. The successful candidate will deliver BW data warehouse and reporting solutions and contribute to understanding new business requirements, testing, and integration with other applications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with functional/business teams to deliver systems that meet functional and business requirements.
- Work with staff and users to ensure changes are delivered in a timely and effective manner.
- Interface with user communities on bug fixes, requests for service, and approved changes to current systems and new applications.
- Ensure ongoing availability of Raytheon systems; aim for improved system productivity.
- Provide system support within published service levels-respond to break fixes and perform preventative maintenance.
- Maintain the integrity, availability, and security of information and systems.
- Conduct business analysis and requirements capture; perform systems analysis, programming, testing, data analysis and design.
- Support system implementation including training, user assistance, and problem resolution.
- Develop documentation for technologists and users; respond to break fixes and perform preventive maintenance.
- Analyze, design, code, test, implement, document, and support development and enhancements to RSL applications and interfaces.
- Monitor Helpdesk and Change Control systems; update configuration/change management tools and reflect changes in System Maps.
- Engage with vendors to deliver requirements and resolve issues; occasional visits to other RSL sites or partner organisations may be required.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, with strong SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and ABAP programming experience.
- Experience with SAP NetWeaver BW Dataflows (3.x & 7.x), SAP Business Explorer Toolset (including Query Designer and Web Analyser).
- General knowledge of a broad range of IT technologies; familiarity with formal systems delivery methodologies.
- Experience delivering and supporting business-critical application packages within large organisations.
Nice to have
- Knowledge and operational experience in manufacturing or defence industries.
- Experience with CPS job scheduler (SAP Business Process Automation by Redwood).
- Strong understanding of SAP BW concepts including Dataflows (3.x & 7.x), InfoObjects, Datasources, DSOs, Cubes, and Multiproviders.
- Ability to administer Process Chains and resolve data loading issues.
- Experience with BEx Query Designer, Analyzer, and Web Application Designer.
- Support ad-hoc end-user requests and investigate data anomalies or unexpected query results.
- Regular monitoring of BW batch activity and participation in service status & alerting framework.
