Join the Billing team

The billing team owns tax determination, invoice issuance, collection, and deferred payments. Current focus includes migrating tax determination to a third party integration, rearchitecting invoice issuance for async processing, and automating invoice collection with AI. There is also growing front end work to improve the end to end billing experience.

Cross functional squads own domain units, set priorities, and decide how to contribute to company goals. Teams work in person three days a week and embrace autonomy and pragmatism. We trust our people to deliver impact and encourage collaboration across squads and guilds.

AI at Perk

AI is embedded throughout our workflow-helping specify features, review code, and surface context quickly. Candidates are expected to use AI tools during coding interviews, demonstrating ownership of their code.

• Product Leadership. Translate complex business goals into technical roadmaps and de risk projects with prototypes.
• System Architecture. Architect scalable, evolvable systems that consider performance, isolation, and maintenance.
• Technical Standards. Define and uphold engineering excellence through CI/CD, testing strategies, and coding standards.
• Frontend Strategy. Establish architecture patterns, state management, performance budgets, and comprehensive testing.
• Backend Excellence. Engineer backend solutions involving API versioning, caching, and data migration.
• Operational Maturity. Lead observability, SRE practices, SLOs, incident response, and blameless post mortems.
• Security & Risk. Oversee operational security, secrets hygiene, and dependency risk management.
• Mentorship & Influence. Lead design reviews, mentor, and influence product road maps with technical data.
• Cross Functional Impact. Coordinate multi team deliverables and resolve blockers across the organization.
• AI Driven Development. Experience or strong interest in AI augmented workflows, including agentic workflows and AI code reviews.
