Endpoint Security Technical Analyst
We have an exciting opportunity to join the HP Security Lab for an endpoint security technical analyst, who will drive analysis, documentation, and continuous evaluation of endpoint security technologies and state of the art capabilities across relevant markets.
This role sits at the intersection of research, development, and business team stakeholder coordination, providing a structured and authoritative view of the state of the art in endpoint security.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical analysis and documentation of endpoint security technologies to ensure the organization maintains a clear and authoritative view of the landscape.
- Conduct in depth technical analysis of endpoint security across platforms and services.
- Evaluate platform capabilities, security properties and strengths.
- Maintain awareness of the latest threat landscape, emerging technologies and their mitigations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive, structured documentation covering market offerings, feature comparisons, and architectural patterns.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible artefacts for multiple audiences.
- Continuously update documentation based on market developments, standards and opportunities.
- Define and manage documentation repositories and information architecture.
- Act as a central knowledge partner to business, product, engineering, research and marketing teams across HP.
- Produce executive summaries, technical deep dives and technology comparison briefings in a timely fashion to influence key business decisions.
- Manage analysis and documentation initiatives, including planning and delivery tracking.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts and maintain project artefacts.
- Track progress, dependencies and risks across workstreams and HP teams.
- Monitor industry trends and threat landscape; maintain a forward looking view of endpoint security evolution.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of endpoint security technologies.
- Familiarity with hardware and firmware technologies (x86, ARM, UEFI, PCIe, DMA, etc.) and computer architecture.
- Familiarity with enterprise security platforms and services.
- Ability to analyze architectures and security controls, focusing on hardware and firmware.
- Experience designing, analyzing, and evolving system architectures to satisfy requirements.
- Ability to comprehend product level properties and customer experiences resulting from deep technical features.
- Strong ability to synthesize complex information into structured documentation aimed at relevant stakeholders.
- Experience creating frameworks for continuous documentation, authoring reports, and reviewing with stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective with both technical and non technical audiences.
- Experience managing multiple initiatives with strong organizational skills.
- Engineering level knowledge in systems security (plus knowledge of enterprise IT management, OS kernel and hypervisor security).
- Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field.
- Knowledge of device and security management is a plus.
