DevOps Automation Engineer - HP Wolf Security

We're looking for an enthusiastic DevOps Automation Engineer to design and build services to scale. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations across the software development lifecycle. The role works with product management, development, and architecture leaders to deliver high-quality solutions and develops tools and frameworks that enhance engineering productivity and quality.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop industry-impacting services using open-source and commercial technologies at scale.
  • Implement DevOps infrastructure projects as part of a team.
  • Maintain and iterate on the organization's CI/CD processes for new and existing services.
  • Implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments.
  • Create a quality engineering/release engineering process that emphasizes continuous integration and continuous development.
  • Build and deploy automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track application performance, identify issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to build and deployment failures, infrastructure glitches, and performance bottlenecks, collaborating with cross functional teams.
  • Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management.
  • Secure, scale, and manage the organization's virtual environments.
Technical Requirements
  • Powershell & Desired State Configuration (DSC) Automation
  • Computer Science background
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Python
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject from a well-regarded university.
  • Commercial experience in software development, Cloud IT, or Network engineering.
Location & Working Model

This role is based in HP's Cambridge office under a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum requirement to be onsite three days per week. Regular in-person collaboration is encouraged.
