DevOps / Release Engineer (SC or DV Cleared)

We are seeking an experienced DevOps / Release Engineer to develop and maintain the CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment processes that underpin secure, repeatable software releases across this national cloud-native programme. You will play a critical role in ensuring efficient, reliable and auditable software delivery across multiple environments.

We are supporting a major central Government client on a mission critical digital transformation programme to replace a legacy case management system with a modern, secure, cloud native platform hosted on Microsoft Azure.

The new platform will automate referral ingestion, triage and case handling workflows, integrate with key national systems, provide secure APIs for data exchange with partners, and deliver significant improvements in operational reporting, resilience and scalability.

This is a multidisciplinary programme bringing together a full delivery team to design, build, secure and support the platform from the ground up. It is an opportunity to work on nationally important digital infrastructure within a technically demanding and rewarding environment.

Location: Hybrid - various UK locations. Candidates must be able to attend site as required.

Clearance: Active SC Clearance is essential. Candidates without active SC clearance will not be considered.

Rate: Competitive, commensurate with experience. To be discussed on application.

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting secure, automated software delivery across multiple environments
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Integrate automated deployment pipelines with Azure deployment slots
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network latency and deployment issues
• Configure and maintain App Service Environment (v3) including VNet integration
• Work closely with backend, platform and security engineering teams to ensure smooth and repeatable releases
• Implement and improve environment management, monitoring and deployment automation practices

• Proven experience designing and maintaining enterprise grade CI/CD pipelines
• Strong hands on Terraform experience for Infrastructure as Code delivery
• Deep subject matter expertise in App Service Environment (v3) architecture, including VNet integration
• Experience with automated deployment processes and release management in cloud environments
• Active SC Clearance (essential - candidates without this will not be considered)

• Microsoft certification (strongly preferred)
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD tooling
• Experience delivering within government or highly regulated environments How to Apply
