Solution Data Architect - Insurance Transformation Programme

We are seeking an experienced Solution Data Architect to join a major transformation programme within a leading UK financial services organisation. This role will play a key part in shaping enterprise-wide data architecture, enabling consistent data flows, governance, and integration across complex business platforms and systems.

Working closely with Solution Architects, Integration Teams, Business Stakeholders, and Data Governance functions, you will be responsible for defining end-to-end data architecture, designing scalable data models, and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and govern end-to-end data flows across multiple business systems and platforms.
• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support strategic transformation initiatives.
• Develop canonical data models and integration mappings to enable scalable, loosely coupled architectures.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and business teams to ensure data consistency, quality, and governance.
• Support impact assessments, data ownership frameworks, and reference data management.
• Ensure solutions meet both operational and analytical reporting requirements.
• Drive adherence to enterprise data architecture standards and best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working as a Solution Data Architect within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in:

• Experience designing and implementing canonical data models and system integration strategies.

Desirable

• Experience within Insurance, particularly Commercial Lines, Policy Administration, Underwriting, or Claims domains.
• Experience within broader Financial Services environments.
• Knowledge of Power Apps/Dataverse.
• Experience with Erwin Data Modelling.
• Familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks and master/reference data management.
