Lead Systems Engineer

Lead Systems Engineer at Leonardo. Work on real world challenges, designing solutions that power the future of defence technology. Focus on RAF aircraft such as Typhoon and Apache, next gen air combat with Team Tempest and GCAP, future electronic warfare systems, and harnessing AI/ML.

• Define and develop system requirements.
• Lead concept studies and system trade offs.
• Prototype new technologies.
• Address integration challenges and test solutions.
• Collaborate with industry partners and share knowledge.
• Work with specialists in safety, security and reliability to deliver robust solutions.

Systems engineering experience and a systems thinking mindset. Broad knowledge across the systems engineering lifecycle or domain expertise such as digital signal processing, RF systems, AI/ML, multi sensor fusion and electronic warfare.

This role requires pre employment screening under the UK Government's BPSS and National Security Vetting. Applicants must meet the eligibility for Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) and hold a UK passport with five years UK residency.

• Salary: £67,000 to £81,000.
