Role description
Arcadis is looking for a BIM Coordinator to join its growing team.In this role, you will oversee and guide the BIM production team while collaborating with various groups, including Architectural teams across sectors such as Healthcare, Education, and Residential. You will also coordinate cross-discipline with Civil Engineers, Structural Engineers, and MEP professionals.
As a BIM Coordinator, you will contribute to Arcadis' broader mission of fostering cross-sector synergy-connecting Places, Mobility, and Resilience. Your work will focus on empowering global work sharing, driving standardisation and optimisation, and facilitating collaboration across sectors. You will also play a key role in harnessing project data throughout its lifecycle.
Role accountabilities
- Provide support to the production team as they develop project BIM deliverables, ensuring alignment with Arcadis standards and best practices. When necessary, ensure compliance with client specific standards based on the project's requirements.
- Oversee BIM deliverables to ensure that they meet client/project requirements.
- Author and review BIM Execution Plans that align with established standards and procedures.
- Oversee the daily management of BIM project models, including regular reviews, audits, and updates of Autodesk Revit projects. Ensure compliance with office and client standards, maintain the required Level of Development, and enforce proper modeling and documentation practices.
- Successfully complete assigned BIM support role tasks within budget and project deadlines.
- Maintain records of coordination activities, including clash resolutions and decisions made during meetings.
- Manage Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) projects, user administration, and model upgrades.
- Work closely with project managers to anticipate upcoming BIM Services needs.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure the support and educational needs of staff and projects are met.
- Assist in establishing clash detection workflows, processes, and best practices for the project team.
- Prepare and distribute clash detection reports with clear documentation of findings, resolutions, and follow up actions.
- Make optimal use of software capabilities and suggest enhancements or adjustments to software tools and BIM models to optimise workflows.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience with BIM coordination, clash detection, or a similar role.
- Completion of a relevant diploma or degree program from an accredited college or university.
- Strong knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit and related BIM software and related software and hardware.
- Strong knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Construction Cloud and its related modules.
- Experience in the use of Common Data Environments.
- Must be an articulate, passionate, and persuasive communicator who is able to convey BIM concepts to others.
- Must demonstrate a collaborative attitude to thrive in a team oriented work environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate coordination meetings and interact with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of BIM (Building Information Modeling) principles and workflows.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 19650 and other associated BIM related guidelines and standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers, engineers, and project managers to achieve project objectives.
