Job Description

Offline CNC Programmer / CNC CAM Engineer

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday (06:00 - 14:00)

Salary: Up to £55k, dependent on experience

We're looking for an Offline CNC Programmer to join a forward thinking manufacturing team, where you'll focus on producing high quality programs away from the machine, supporting efficient, right first time production.

About the role

You will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of our machined products, working on advanced CNC machining processes and supporting new product introductions.

Responsibilities
  • CNC program creation (offline and online)
  • Manufacturing process planning and data control
  • Cutting tool selection and procurement
  • Setting and operating CNC machines for prove out and production
  • Assisting with fixture design
  • Customer liaison on design for manufacture and technical issues
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimisation without compromising quality or tolerances
Qualifications
  • Experience in CNC setting, programming, and operating 3-5 axis horizontal and vertical machines
  • Knowledge of Haas, Mazak, or Matsuura machining centres
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (hyperMill, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Powermill, Mastercam)
  • Understanding of technical drawings, geometric tolerances, and CMM inspection methods
  • Ability to travel to site
