Requirements
- Active SC Clearance is essential.
- ISTQB Foundation Certification.
- Strong experience in Functional System Testing.
- Experience with test automation.
- Proficiency with testing tools such as Postman.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of Risk-Based Testing methodologies.
- Experience testing Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and Data Migration projects.
- Strong SQL and database testing skills, including Oracle or similar.
- AWS experience.
- Experience producing Test Approach and Test Completion documentation.
- Proficiency with Jira, Zephyr Scale, Git, or similar tools.
- ETL testing experience.
- Integration Testing experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Denodo experience is desirable.
- Experience working on large-scale data transformation programmes is desirable.
- Experience working in secure or highly regulated environments is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Define and document our test approaches and testing strategies.
- Create and maintain our test coverage and traceability matrices.
- Analyse business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test scripts.
- Perform Functional System Testing and Integration Testing.
- Support End-to-End (E2E) testing activities.
- Prepare and manage our test data requirements.
- Identify, investigate, and track defects through to resolution.
- Produce regular test status reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Apply Risk-Based Testing principles to maximise test effectiveness.
- Collaborate with development teams, business users, and external suppliers to support successful project delivery.

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to join a high-profile programme delivering complex data and technology solutions within a secure environment. This is a 6-month contract based in Telford, working on a hybrid basis with 2 days onsite per week, and the role is inside IR35 at £340 per day. We will be working closely with project teams, stakeholders, and third-party suppliers to maintain quality standards throughout the delivery lifecycle.
