Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year
Requirements
- A bachelors degree in IT, Systems, Sciences, or Maths
- At least 5 years experience across BI, data warehousing, data management, and ETL
- Strong experience delivering data solutions in BI warehouses and/or data lakes, on-premises and in the cloud
- Hands on experience with big data tools, data ingestion, and streaming
- Experience with data lakes and visualisation, including semantic modelling
- Strong understanding of data architecture
- Confident stakeholder engagement and cross team collaboration skills
- A passion for sharing knowledge and supporting team development
Responsibilities
- Own the development of scalable data pipelines and data solutions
- Work independently while collaborating with teams across the business
- Deliver reliable, high quality data that powers data flows and predictive models
- Use a range of languages and tools to build and manage robust data pipelines across multiple systems
- Contribute to key decisions that support an outcome focused approach
- Identify opportunities to bring in new data and unlock more value from existing data
- Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, Architecture, and wider tech teams to design, build, test, and maintain scalable data environments
- Understand GDPR principles and raise concerns where needed
- Support and mentor fellow Data Engineers
- Listen to technical and business needs and communicate complex ideas clearly and accessibly
