SAP Technical Delivery Manager

Salary: £50,000 - 90,000 per year

• We lead the delivery of tactical SAP changes across business and internal projects.
• We translate user stories into detailed delivery plans through to early life support.
• We facilitate estimation, planning, and scheduling to support predictable delivery.
• We ensure system changes are delivered as planned and committed.
• We remove blockers and manage dependencies to support timely delivery.
• We support PI planning cycles and optimise capacity across workstreams.
• We promote and embed DevOps principles, including collaboration, automation, customer centric decision making, and continuous learning.
• We implement and continuously improve Agile practices such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
• We facilitate Agile ceremonies, including stand ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
• We drive cross functional collaboration and transparency across all work.
• We maximise resource utilisation to increase throughput and business value.
• We track and improve delivery metrics such as lead time, cycle time, sprint velocity, technical debt, and unplanned work.
• We conduct Lean analysis, including Value Stream Mapping, to remove inefficiencies and improve flow.
• We foster accountability, high performance, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• We collaborate with Product Leads and stakeholders to align PI objectives with business goals.
• We build strong relationships across business, IT, suppliers, and partners.
• We communicate delivery performance and risks to senior stakeholders.
• We ensure user needs are understood and met across all stages of delivery.
• We ensure all DevOps activities align with organisational strategy, policies, governance, quality, and security standards.
• We provide specialist advice on information management and collaborative working.
• We identify and implement improvements in processes, tools, and ways of working.
• We develop reusable delivery assets such as dashboards, planning tools, trackers, and roadmaps.
• We leverage innovation sprints to introduce new tools or techniques.
• We build and share knowledge across the DevOps and SAP communities.
• We coach and mentor team members to support capability growth.
• We maintain visibility and control of all work in progress.
• We manage capacity across PI cycles to prevent over or under allocation.
• We facilitate retrospectives and ensure improvement actions are implemented.
• We drive performance reporting to portfolio leadership.

We are seeking an SAP Technical Delivery Consultant to deliver high quality, cost effective SAP change while supporting the effective run and maintenance of services. This role sits at the centre of our DevOps and Agile ways of working, helping us maximise team throughput, improve delivery performance, and continuously enhance our tools, processes, and capabilities. You will work closely with Product Leads, business stakeholders, IT teams, suppliers, and partners, and will play a key role in shaping priorities, supporting governance, and driving a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
