Business Development Executive (Professional Services)
Cranfield, Bedfordshire
£26,000-£30,000 (OTE £35,000-£45,000) + Progression to Account Management + Training + Professional Services Environment
Are you a commercially minded Business Development Executive, SDR, Sales Executive or Account Executive looking for an opportunity to build a career within a growing professional services business where you can develop your commercial skills and progress into a client-facing Account Management role?
On offer is the opportunity to join a specialist international consultancy that helps leading professional services firms strengthen client relationships through strategic feedback, insight and relationship management programmes. Working with senior stakeholders across major organisations, you will play a key role in generating and qualifying opportunities that support the company's continued growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying target organisations, engaging senior decision-makers, managing structured outreach campaigns and generating qualified meetings for senior colleagues. This is a highly organised and process-driven role where attention to detail, commercial awareness and relationship-building skills are critical to success.
This role would suit a Business Development Executive, Sales Development Representative, SDR, Account Executive, Lead Generation Executive, Commercial Executive or ambitious graduate with B2B sales experience looking to develop within a consultative professional services environment.
The Role
- Identify and research target organisations and key stakeholders
- Execute structured outreach campaigns across email, LinkedIn and events
- Generate and qualify new business opportunities
- Arrange meetings with senior decision-makers
- Prepare briefing notes and meeting preparation materials
- Maintain CRM records and pipeline accuracy
- Attend industry events, conferences and networking opportunities
- Support senior colleagues throughout the sales process
The Person
- Experience within B2B sales, business development or a commercial role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Process-driven with strong CRM discipline
- Commercially aware and motivated by business growth
- Professional services, consultancy or commercial environment experience beneficial
- Based within 30 minutes of Cranfield (MK43)
