Job Description

Overview

To support the development and implementation of AI-driven and Microsoft 365 automation solutions within a manufacturing environment, contributing to improved efficiency, digitalisation, and business performance. The role operates within a small local IT team while collaborating closely with the global IT organisation, ensuring alignment with company standards, policies, and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Microsoft 365 tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Support the implementation of AI-based solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the site.
  • Work closely with site functions (production, operations, engineering) to understand business needs.
  • Translate operational requirements into practical and scalable IT solutions.
  • Provide user support and assist in maintaining reliable and effective systems.
  • Collaborate with the global IT organisation to implement standardised solutions.
  • Follow company policies, IT standards, and security requirements.
  • Participate in international projects and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure solutions align with IT policies, security standards, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain proper documentation and support structured ways of working.
  • Contribute to safe, secure, and compliant use of technology.
  • Assist and support end-users by troubleshooting IT systems, registering and following up on caretaker tickets, and providing training to ensure Digital IT tools are used effectively.
  • Assist the local IT team as and when required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Essential: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong interest in AI, automation, and digitalisation.
  • Analytical mindset and structured problem solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills (technical and non technical audiences).
  • Desirable: Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Desirable: Exposure to AI tools, data analytics, or scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Desirable: Understanding of manufacturing or industrial environments.
