Salary: £35,000 - 55,000 per year
Requirements:
- We are looking for enthusiastic and resourceful Backend Python Engineers at mid to senior levels. Candidates should have demonstrated expertise as a Mid or Senior Software Engineer, proficiency in Python, and hands on experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL. Additionally, you should be skilled in version control tools like Git and possess a sound understanding of development best practices, including pair programming and TDD. We value eagerness to engage with emerging technologies, strong abilities in software design, problem solving, and debugging, as well as a commitment to continuous code improvement and learning from peers.
Responsibilities:
- As a key member of our backend engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in building full stack cloud applications. You will utilize Python and AWS Cloud services on the backend while adopting a server less approach to application design. Collaboration is essential, as you will work within an agile team alongside other backend engineers and product designers. Your responsibilities will include strategizing, developing, testing, and deploying new features and experiments. You will also engage in collaborative coding practices, such as pair programming and code reviews, and contribute to resolving complexities in large scale systems and extensive datasets. This role requires close collaboration with our Product, Data, Front end, Platform, and Security teams.

This position initially offers a three month contract, with the potential for extension. The role is hybrid, requiring in office work one day a week in London and requiring a full time commitment of 40 hours per week.
