GCP CloudOps Engineer

• We manage day-to-day operations across GCP environments.
• We monitor cloud platforms and respond to incidents, alerts, and service issues.
• We troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application-related problems.
• We improve platform reliability through automation and operational improvements.
• We write scripts and tooling to remove manual processes and improve efficiency.
• We support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• We work with developers and engineering teams to improve platform performance.
• We manage IAM, security controls, and cloud governance standards.
• We produce operational documentation, runbooks, and technical guides.
• We support production environments as part of an on-call rota.
• We mentor other team members, review technical approaches, and drive operational best practices across the wider platform team at senior and lead levels.

We are hiring CloudOps engineers to help run and improve large scale Google Cloud environments used by enterprise customers. This is a hands on operations and engineering role focused on reliability, automation, supportability, and continuous improvement across cloud platforms. We work closely with infrastructure, platform, and development teams to keep systems stable, secure, and scalable. The role is permanent, based in Manchester, North West United Kingdom, with a hybrid working arrangement. We are hiring across multiple levels, and we offer a bonus in addition to a salary range of £40,000 to £73,000.
