Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript development.
- Previous experience in a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Lead Engineer, or Senior Technical Leadership role.
- Experience building and scaling SaaS or product led platforms.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and clean code principles.
- Experience working in cloud native, CI/CD, and DevSecOps environments.
- Passion for engineering excellence, mentoring others, and solving complex technical challenges.
- Interest in AI assisted software development and modern engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead solution design, architecture, and technical decision making.
- Collaborate with Product teams to shape requirements and delivery plans.
- Build and deploy production software in a fast paced environment.
- Drive engineering best practices, code quality, and maintainability.
- Support systems in production and improve platform performance.
- Act as a senior technical leader within an AI enabled engineering environment.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to design, build, and scale modern software solutions.

We are a high growth UK SaaS business investing heavily in our engineering function and looking for an experienced Principal or Lead Engineer to help shape the future of our customer facing platforms. This is a hands on technical leadership role within a mature engineering environment, where we offer significant technical influence across products and platform direction, a modern engineering culture focused on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement, and flexible remote first working with limited onsite requirements. The role is UK only, with remote hybrid working and just 4 to 6 office visits per year.
