As Data Insights Lead, you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable intelligence, empowering our teams to make confident decisions, uncover new opportunities, and drive operational excellence. This role is central to our mission to: enable smarter decisions grounded in data, unlock new opportunities by surfacing insights ahead of the competition, and drive efficiency by streamlining processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic connector: build deep relationships with stakeholders to understand priorities and shape high impact solutions, and influence the direction of the data transformation program.
- Build the future of data products: design and deliver next generation data products, including datasets, dashboards, and self service tools that are intuitive, scalable, and insight rich; leverage modern data platforms and AI to achieve augmented and predictive insights.
- Lead AI enabled insight design: support the design of AI agents and workflows, champion the use of AI to improve speed, accuracy, and decision quality, and inspire teams in creating compelling visualizations that drive action.
- Set standards for excellence: establish best practices across interpretation, metric design, and reporting; ensure outputs are consistent, high quality, and aligned to governance.
- Collaborate across D&A: work with architecture, engineering, and governance teams to align from data foundation to insight consumption, reduce manual workarounds, and build a modern, scalable ecosystem.
- Take on additional responsibilities aligned with the nature and scope of this role as required.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in data and analytics roles within the (Re)Insurance industry.
- Experience in design and implementation of data transformation projects.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience working with technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insight.
- Deep understanding of insurance data and the MI needs of functional teams including underwriting, actuarial, claims, and finance.
- Expertise in designing impactful reports, visualizations, and self service data tools.
- Strong and active interest in AI and emerging technologies, with curiosity to experiment and apply them to real business challenges.
- Familiarity with current data visualization tools and technologies (e.g., Power BI).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in US, Bermuda, and UK insurance markets.
- Strong knowledge of AI data tools and applications in insurance.
- Hands on experience with Power BI and other visualization platforms.
