E.g. architecture principles, styles, policies, and standardsCoaching and Mentoring engineering staff in the effective and pragmatic application of software design principles and coding best practicesProducing and maintaining useful and fit for purpose documentation of work, and contributing regularly to the general Engineering body of knowledgeBuilding a strategic network of partnerships and relationships with individuals inside and outside of the engineering organizationEffectively collaborating with architects on cross-portfolio and enterprise-wide initiativesStrategic & EnterpriseContributing to the definition of technical strategy and, formal architecture delivery roadmaps for your assigned portfolio areaMaking architectural decisions that impact on the entire distributed Payments platformAssisting in establishing technical direction with a sound and pragmatic approachMonitoring new technologies, applications of technology, and opportunities to leverage technology as a differentiator for your assigned portfolio areaPinpointing strengths and weaknesses in the Payments platform, and effectively advocate for appropriate solutions to weaknessesCommunicating direction in terms that are meaningful to individuals and teams across the engineering groupContributing to build vs. buy decisions.DeliveryLeading Architecture and Design activities throughout the delivery lifecycleVerifying code quality and implementation alignment with design decisions and platform guidanceCreating architectural mechanisms and core components to address concerns that have platform-wide impactContributing to the estimation and prioritization of work itemsParticipating in coding activities that are in support of design outcomes - up to 50% of the time depending on the projectGlobal Payments Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
