Systems Engineer - Tempest and EMC
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Systems Engineer based in the Portsmouth area. This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based.
We're working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and a separate Space and Defence division.
The Role
This role is for a Systems Engineer-someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You'll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.
You'll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
- Designing a compliant equipment installation design with associated test plans and compliance evidence.
- All aspects of the system lifecycle from initial design through installation to customer handover.
- Requirements for Tempest and EMC.
- EMC/TEMPEST test plans.
- Modelling, validation and verification.
The Individual
We're looking for people who can show:
- Familiarity with TEMPEST standards & EMC Standards.
- Knowledge of TEMPEST & EMC test specifications, test procedures, test setups, and test data.
- EMC requirements analysis.
- System-level EMC design, development and solutions.
- EMC Equipment selection.
- Practical knowledge of the installation of electrical equipment, including rack installation and compliant cabling practices.
- Understanding of the effects of electrical equipment (and cabling) interference, and methods for mitigating interference.
- Electrical safety certification.
- Previous exposure to generating test plans for sign-off of electrical equipment installation, preferably with TEMPEST and/or EMC.
- Verification, Validation & integration.
