Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior UI React Engineer with strong expertise in the Banking domain to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of projects. Hybrid working: blend of company offices, client sites, and home. Unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Role
We're seeking a senior React TypeScript engineer who can confidently take ownership of features and consistently deliver high quality code.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clean type safe React TypeScript code that is easy to maintain and adapt.
- Take technical ownership of assigned features and deliver robust solutions.
- Drive collaboration with backend engineers, UI/UX designers, business analysts, and fellow UI developers.
- Proactively seek feedback, address uncertainties, and improve processes.
- Challenge ideas and approaches constructively to focus on better outcomes.
- Work independently and efficiently without needing extensive guidance.
Required Skills
- Favour practical streamlined solutions rather than overengineering.
- Write clean, readable code following established patterns.
- Refactor proactively and iterate quickly.
- Contribute to discussions around the testing pyramid and take responsibility for quality.
- Use AI tools thoughtfully to enhance productivity without compromising standards.
Experience
- Proven senior React TypeScript engineer.
- Comfortable with ownership, feedback, and constructive challenges.
- Trusted to deliver work that does not need rework.
