Senior Software Engineer - AI Developer Tooling

Job Overview

Our team crafts developer-first tooling that ensures developers get the best out of the company technology on day one. We are looking for a curious and driven engineer who is passionate about delivering impactful, high quality software with a key focus on the end user experience. This is a unique opportunity to join a team working across a wide range of technology stacks to enable effective software development for the next wave of ML centric compute on the company.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a diverse team to design, deliver and refine the tools and workflows required to accelerate development on the next generation of the company powered, ML capable, hardware.
• Engage with our agile development processes to help deliver high quality results at pace.
• Support and connect with internal and external customers to ensure alignment and delivery of multi-faceted end to end solutions.
• Strengthen the company's software ecosystem by upstreaming contributions and identifying opportunities to open source internal projects.

Required Skills and Experience

• Demonstrable proficiency in at least one programming language and software stack.
• A curiosity and drive to create innovative developer experiences through the early adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
• A "get things done" approach to shipping high quality, robust software which is maintainable and adaptable to evolving requirements.
• A strong sense of collaboration and an ability to connect with and build consensus across multi functional teams.
• Demonstrable ability to think beyond the code and consider the potential product and user impact of technical decisions.

Nice To Have Skills and Experience

• Experience with TypeScript, Go, Python or Rust.
• Experience of visualising datasets or creating rich, performant and accessible user interfaces.
• Experience curating external customer facing developer workflows.
• Experience developing for and on the company architectures.
• Experience profiling or debugging ML workloads.
• Experience designing, training, optimizing, and deploying machine learning models using frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, LiteRT or HuggingFace Transformers.
• Experience collaborating closely with product or design teams.

Salary Range

£73,500 - £99,500 per year
