About the Opportunity

We are looking for a SharePoint Administrator, to be responsible for overseeing the SharePoint environment by ensuring its functionality, reliability and continuity to meet user requirements. They play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the platform, providing technical support, and implementing SharePoint projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing SharePoint infrastructure aligned with programme requirements.
  • Installing, configuring, and upgrading SharePoint systems.
  • Setting up and managing user accounts and permissions.
  • Developing and managing content databases and site collections.
  • Working with developers to deploy custom SharePoint solutions.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for SharePoint policies, procedures, and user guides.
  • Coordinating with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with SharePoint framework, databases, and other software.
  • Providing training to end-users and ensuring the effective operation of the SharePoint environment.
  • Planning and executing backup and disaster recovery operations for SharePoint environments.
Here's What You'll Need
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in SharePoint administration.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Server and SharePoint Online, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, including sites, libraries, workflows, and permissions management.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365, including integration with other Microsoft services (Teams, OneDrive, Power Automate).
  • Solid knowledge of PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration and automation tasks.
  • Experience with configuring and managing SharePoint security settings, access control, and user permissions.
  • Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security requirements within SharePoint environments.
  • Experience in managing SharePoint content management systems and document libraries.
  • Familiarity with managing SharePoint workflows and integration with other business systems.
  • Experience of planning and managing SharePoint to support complex programme/project requirements.
Desirable
  • Certification in Microsoft SharePoint, such as Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Server or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
  • Experience with hybrid SharePoint environments (combining on premises and cloud solutions).
  • Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for customisation of SharePoint sites and features.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Designer for creating and managing workflows and customisations.
  • Experience with SharePoint add-ins, third party tools, and integrations with other enterprise applications.
