Network Operations Manager - Global Law Firm
We are seeking an experienced Network Operations Manager to stabilise Network Support & Engineering globally, overseeing the service delivery of daily Network Operations. Acting as a strategic deputy to the Head of Networks, you will support the optimisation of the service and utilise monitoring systems to drive performance of the globally distributed engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Leadership: Lead and structure network operations. Proactively manage service delivery, ensuring all issues are resolved promptly to maintain high business satisfaction.
- Strategic Deputy: Act as the right-hand to IT leadership team, driving continuous improvement in team efficiency and reporting on network performance.
- Operational Reporting: Utilize existing network monitoring tools and dashboards to generate reports, track Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and log critical metrics.
- Vendor & Project Oversight: Support the transition from our legacy MPLS network to a new vendor-managed Aruba SD-WAN, allowing you to focus on core operations rather than hands-on configuration.
Technical Environment & Requirements
- Firewalls: Palo Alto Networks & FortiGate.
- Routing & Switching: Enterprise-level Cisco switching.
- Load Balancing: F5 Networks (small footprint).
- Wireless: Aruba WiFi.
The Ideal Candidate
- Background: Proven track record in a Network Management or Senior Network Lead capacity with team management responsibilities.
- Approach: While this is an operational leadership role, you must have a strong technical foundation in routing, switching, and firewalls so you can confidently use tooling and interpret reporting systems.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills are required to collaborate across distributed teams and manage expectations across the broader business.
