Description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a high-profile public sector engagement, supporting a complex and mission-critical cyber function.

This is a unique opportunity to operate at the heart of Security Operations, combining programme delivery, incident coordination, and operational leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You will play a key role within the Security Operations function, acting as a central coordination point across cyber activities, ensuring effective governance, delivery, and response across multiple workstreams.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams, supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives, while helping drive continuous improvement in capability and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight, governance, and escalation management across Security Operations
  • Support and coordinate cyber incident response and remediation activities
  • Lead delivery of security and compliance programmes (e.g. policy, DSPT/CAF, audit actions)
  • Apply Agile delivery practices to prioritise and manage competing workstreams
  • Act as a trusted escalation point, stepping in to support gaps or critical issues
  • Drive operational improvements, including tooling, processes, and governance frameworks
  • Engage and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and client leadership
  • Support team capability development, resourcing, and recruitment activities
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Strong experience in Security Operations, cyber delivery, or IT/security programme management
  • Proven ability to operate in high-pressure, fast-moving environments
  • Experience managing or supporting incident response and risk management activities
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, including senior/executive audiences
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methods (Scrum, MoSCoW, etc.)
  • Able to balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery support
Desirable Experience
  • Exposure to frameworks such as DSPT, CAF, ISO, or similar
  • Experience in SecOps leadership or acting-up roles
  • Involvement in security capability building or transformation initiatives
  • Experience in public sector or regulated environments is highly desirable
