What is the purpose of this job?This role will manage as directed the development implementation and ongoing support of risk-based compliance testing to ensure compliant solutions with all existing and new RDG Policies and Standards, identifying non compliance, risks and providing solution based alternatives. This role will additionally encompass certification testing being part of the standards enhancements currently in flight within DTS.
This role will also encompass execution of scripted solutions on multiple Digital Ticketing projects/enhancements/upgrades and support related activities.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in the implementation and execution of testing activities, including test automation, within large and complex solutions that operate under strict standards compliance frameworks.
They will demonstrate a strong track record in the production and delivery of technical documentation, including test artefacts, guides, and supporting materials, as required. Experience in certification and standards based testing is highly desirable.
The role requires demonstrable experience in interpreting technical specifications and standards documentation and translating these into robust, traceable test scenarios and test cases. The candidate will also have proven capability in technical problem solving, risk identification, and the application of ITIL aligned processes.
This position will involve close collaboration with cross functional internal teams, as well as technical teams from suppliers, customers, stakeholders, and Standards Authorities.
Candidates must be familiar with industry standard test tools and technologies, including SOAPUI/REST, Playwright, Selenium, Python, and SQL, alongside test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
A detailed working knowledge of ITSO specifications and rail related standards (including RSPS 3002 and related frameworks) is essential, as standards compliance and formal certification will be a core responsibility of the role.
Knowledge of cEMV processes and practices is desirable.
