Role Overview
As a DevOps Software Engineer at PTC, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, high quality software solutions that support PTC's industry leading platforms. You will collaborate with cross functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, and help drive innovation across the product lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Hands on production experience with Kubernetes, including deployments, scaling, and stateful workloads.
- Strong proficiency with Docker, multi stage builds, image optimization, scanning, and supply chain security.
- Expertise with Helm or similar deployment/configuration tooling.
- Experience with a major cloud provider - Azure preferred, AWS acceptable.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, versioning, OAuth/OIDC, JWTs, and related security practices.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases; familiarity with key value/document stores.
- Strong automated testing discipline: unit, integration, and end to end testing.
- Practical experience with Git and GitLab/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and automated build/release tooling.
- Experience with asynchronous patterns: messaging, queues, and event streams.
- Experience with secrets management and key rotation.
- Strong analytical reasoning, debugging expertise, and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, collaborating across engineering, DevOps, and platform teams.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is 33,000 - 82,500 GBP for the stated work location. In addition to base salary, the position may be eligible to participate in a performance based variable compensation plan, where applicable, in accordance with established plan rules and local legal requirements. Final compensation will be determined within the stated salary range, based on the candidate's qualifications and experience relative to the role's requirements and the applicable internal compensation framework.
