We are looking for experienced Data Engineers to join a growing programme supporting retail and hospitality environments across Belfast.
This is a field-based role, initially focused on service calls and site surveys, with larger rollout projects planned later in the year.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and deploying a range of in-store technologies across multiple client sites.
Work will include:
- Service calls and reactive support
- Site surveys and diagnostics
- Hardware and system troubleshooting
- Supporting upcoming rollout projects
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and complete service calls and site surveys
- Install, support and troubleshoot:
- Headsets & base stations
- POS systems
- Self-service kiosks
- Diagnose and resolve on-site technical issues
- Ensure systems are fully operational and configured correctly
- Support data capture and reporting from field devices
- Assist with rollouts and deployments later in the year
Key Skills
- Experience in field engineering / IT support / EPOS environments
- Hands on experience with POS, kiosks, or similar retail tech
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Comfortable working in client facing, on site environments
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to data engineering or data handling
- Basic knowledge of SQL, databases, system integrations
- Experience within retail or hospitality environments
Requirements
- Must be based in/around Belfast
- Must be able to start quickly
- Willingness to travel to London for training (expenses paid)
