Security Systems Engineer
Location: South East / London Area
Salary: £35,000 £50,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 Hours per Week

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Security Systems Engineer to join a growing and well-established specialist security solutions provider. This role offers a varied workload across commercial, industrial, and residential sites, involving the installation, maintenance, servicing, and fault finding of a wide range of security systems.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and professional engineer who takes pride in their work. Strong technical knowledge is preferable, however this does not need to span across all disciplines. A strong commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of:

  • CCTV Systems
  • Intruder Alarm Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Fault finding and diagnosing system issues
  • Commissioning and testing newly installed systems
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance visits
  • Responding to reactive breakdowns and service calls
  • Completing service reports and relevant documentation accurately
  • Ensuring all work complies with current industry regulations and health & safety standards
  • Providing excellent customer service whilst representing the business professionally
Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • 3+ years experience within the electronic security industry is preferable, however candidates with less experience will still be considered for the right attitude and willingness to learn
  • Experience with CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems
  • Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively

Desirable

  • Experience with fire alarm systems
  • Electrical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • ECS/CSCS Card
  • Knowledge of IP-based security systems and networking
  • Manufacturer-specific training certifications
